Fall Festivals in South Walton

With cooler temperatures on the rise and a hint of fall in the air, it’s the perfect time of year to enjoy all of the outdoor festivals and events in South Walton. Check out some of our favorite festivals along the Emerald Coast that you must attend this fall.

Pirates of the High Seas Fest at Pier Park
October 5-7, 2018

Columbus Day weekend will bring waves of fun-filled adventures to Panama City Beach with the annual Pirates of the High Seas Fest. Setting sail on October 5-7, 2018, this year’s free festival is sure to take pirate fun to a whole new level. Get ready to enjoy live music, pirate parades, pirate costumes, an 8,000 beach ball drop from the sky, fireworks, and more!

Destin Seafood Festival
October 5-7, 2018

The 40th Annual Destin Seafood Festival takes place along the Destin harbor. It’s a weekend of seafood, live music, and family fun. The Destin Seafood Festival showcases the best that Destin has to offer on the Harbor. Stroll along the Harbor Boardwalk from one end to the other with over a mile of festival activities featuring Destin’s Fishing Fleet, local restaurants, bars, shops, and breathtaking views.

30A Blue Crab Festival
October 5-7, 2018

The 3rd Annual 30A Blue Crab Festival takes place Friday, October 5th through Sunday, October 7th at Trebeaché in Blue Mountain Beach. This three-day festival features great food showcasing crab-inspired dishes, wine, local art and goods, and plenty of live music, more crab and cold drinks!

Camp Helen State Park Fall Festival

The 3rd Annual Fall Festival at Camp Helen State Park takes place on Saturday, October 6 from 11 AM to 4 PM. There will be fun, food, and games for the whole family!

The Market Shops Bloody Mary Festival
October 6, 2018

The Market Shops will host the 4th Annual Bloody Mary Festival benefiting Habitat for Humanity Walton County on Saturday, October 6, 2018, from 11 am to 2 pm.  This year’s festival welcomes many favorite restaurants, bars, and culinary artists from around South Walton and Destin. The much-anticipated event will feature Bloody Mary’s from the area’s top restaurants, craft beer from Grayton Beer Company, memories captured by Epic Photo Co., bubbly bar, local eats and more! Enjoy live music by DJ Rock the House and the Luke Langford Band on the main stage, sponsored by Hyatt Place Sandestin at Grand Boulevard.

Oktoberfest Panama City Beach
October 12-15, 2018

Panama City Beach Oktoberfest is on October 12-14, 2018, at Aaron Bessant Park (near Pier Park). PCB Oktoberfest will feature stein hosting competitions, live music, and plenty of activities for the kids!

Baytowne Wharf Beer Festival
October 12-13, 2018

Time to roll out the barrel and discover unique suds & ales! The Village of Baytowne Wharf presents the 11th Annual Baytowne Wharf Beer Festival on October 12th and 13th, 2018. American specialty beers from around the nation will be available for sampling and savoring.

Rockin’ on the Lawn: Charity Music Festival at The MKAF Village

The Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation presents Rockin’ on the Lawn – Charity Music Festival. It’s located at The MKAF Village and features the Luke Langford Band, Atlas Lost, Catalyst, and the Tommy Morse Band. Benefitting the South Walton Academy, the festival is set to take place Saturday, October 13th from 11 am – 9:30 pm.

Chautauqua Winery’s Harvest Festival

Join in the fun at Chautauqua Winery’s Harvest Festival at Chautauqua Winery in Defuniak Springs on Saturday, October 20th from 9 am 6 pm. This free festival features live music, free wine tastings, food, as well as art & craft vendors.

Flutterby Arts Festival
October 20, 2018

The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County is calling all kids to flitter to Watersound Origins to celebrate 26 years of the Flutterby Arts Festival. This year’s event takes place Saturday, October 20th and Sunday, October 21st, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm on the green located directly behind Watersound Origins Café. Produced by the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County, The Flutterby Festival is a two-day event filled with arts, nature, science, and fun. It’s a celebration of the migration of the Monarch butterfly through South Walton.

The festival will feature live entertainment for the entire family, including music, theatre, and dance. Art activities like the butterfly wing creation station, craft-making, henna tattoos, and face-painting will be available all weekend. Kids can also enjoy the “Clay” butterfly learning center, carnival games, bounce houses, hula hoop contests, and a 26th birthday party complete with cupcakes and a butterfly parade at the end of each day. Professional artists will be exhibiting and selling their work throughout the weekend.

Pumpkin Festival at Arnett’s Gulfside Stables
October 20-21 & October 27-18, 2018

The 8th Annual Pumpkin Festival is taking place at Arnett’s Gulfside Farm & Stables in Santa Rosa Beach just in time for Halloween, pumpkins, and fun on the 20-acre ranch. The Pumpkin Festival takes place over two weekends: Sat/Sun on Oct. 20-21 and Oct. 27-28 from 11 am to 4 pm.

Best of the Emerald Coast at Grand Boulevard
October 20, 2018

Emerald Coast Magazine holds the annual Reader’s Choice Poll for the best restaurants, shopping, services, entertainment and businesses along the Emerald Coast. Join the whole Emerald Coast community on Saturday, October 20th starting at 6 pm as the 2018 winners will be on display at Grand Boulevard. It’s the 9th Annual Best of the Emerald Coast Celebration. The public is invited for an evening of food, fun, fashion, and entertainment. The event includes food, beer, wine and drinks from the winning restaurants.

Barktoberfest at Grand Boulevard

Dog-Harmony and Grand Boulevard invite you and your furry friend to help in celebrating all things fall. Barktoberfest happens on Thursday, October 25th from 5-7pm in Grand Park. You and your furbaby will enjoy puppy & people treats, live entertainment and a raffle drawing. The event is free and open to the public.

The Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation (MKAF) presents its annual Festival of the Arts. It’s an entire weekend of art, music, food, and fun for everyone. The area’s premier fine arts festival takes place October 27 and 28. The festival is located at the MKAF Cultural Arts Village in Destin, Florida.
